we are pleased to invite you to the 2024 Global MOOC and Online Education Conference this December!
The global education landscape is undergoing a significant transformation due to rapid digital advancements and the emergence of generative AI. This shift should be aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (UN SDG 4), which promotes inclusive, equitable, and quality education, along with increased lifelong learning opportunities for all. The 2024 Global MOOC and Online Education Conference, themed “Reimagining the Future of Higher Education in the Intelligence Era”, will be held at Queen Mary University of London, in U.K. This event aims to address both the challenges and opportunities presented by these changes.
The upcoming conference addresses the urgent need to adapt education systems in response to the disruptions caused by generative AI. It will explore effective ways to integrate these technologies into curricula and teaching methods while also addressing the risks associated with errors and biased information. This initiative aligns with UNESCO’s efforts to establish the first global standard on AI ethics, which was unanimously adopted by its Member States.
The 2024 conference aims to continue this work by capitalizing on digital technology to innovate educational ideas, reforming educational models, and actively contributing to transforming higher education in the intelligence era while enhancing educational equity and outcomes, and developing high-quality MOOC and online education.
Encourage the innovative development of new education methods and models to improve quality of higher education
Foster the integration of digital technology and the higher education system to ensure high-quality resources are more inclusive and equitable for all learners
Promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind and expand global cooperation under a common vision.
