On 20 July, the first graduates of the “Cyber Risk Strategy and Governance” program, in collaboration between Politecnico di Milano (a member of the Global MOOC Alliance) and Università di Bocconi, with the support of six corporate partners (Cisco, KPMG, Intesa Sanpaolo, NTT DATA, Spike Reply, and Vodafone) and directed by Greta Nasi, professor at the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Bocconi, received their Master’s Degree.
The first year saw the participation of 38 students from Italy and various European countries, and when fully up and running the number will be 50. The first graduates are Rodrigo Messina, Alexandra Blia and Giacomo Minello.
We now have the first graduates of this programme, which provides students with the opportunity to develop a multi-disciplinary approach to cyber risk management, which is highly relevant to companies operating in different sectors. The programme has an important symbolic value because it highlights the ability to collaborate in integrating the best skills of two Italian centres of excellence, Bocconi and Politecnico”

Digital is a strategic component of the PNRR and one of the areas in which Europe is investing most to regain unity and competitiveness. In a digital world, cybersecurity becomes crucial for many sectors such as transport, energy, health and finance. We have to tackle this with new skills that can analyse the risks and opportunities not only from a technical viewpoint, but also from an economic and social angle.
The pandemic, which has greatly accelerated the digitisation process, has clearly demonstrated that it is a priority for every organisation, from businesses to public institutions, to analyze risks and adopt effective cybersecurity strategies. A trend that we anticipated with this Master’s Degree Course and which today proves its value.
