Course Introduction: Design of Mechanism is the first MOOC course for the Mechanical Engineering program in MUST. This course provides students with a clear understanding of how machines are designed. Based on the digital content of lectures and virtual labs, laboratory equipment and other learning materials, this course is modified for a flipped classroom. Students are able to learn themselves at home or outside of school. In the class, they will work on the training equipment for the assembly and disassembly of the mechanism. After that students will learn the analyzing, and synthesizing of three types of mechanisms linkage, gear, and cams. The course is advantageous in combining the online MOOC course and in-person practice.
