Our vision is to be a global marketplace platform for good quality online courses. It’s tagline is Merdeka belajar untuk semua (Freedom Learning for All).

Paulina Pannen, Chairperson of the Indonesia Cyber Education Institute (ICE Institute) and a new Board member of the Global MOOC and Online Education Alliance, outlined ICE Institure’s vision and future collaboration plan at the annual GMA Board Meeting.

ICE Institute believes it must collaborate with other institutions to offer quality online courses for all people in Indonesia and abroad. So far, ICE Institute has collaborated with thirty-four (34) higher education institutions, including the University of Indonesia, Bina Nusantara University, Universitas Terbuka (Indonesian OpenUniversity), Airlangga University, and other top universities in Indonesia. These institutions provide good quality online courses, and some of these institutions also offer MOOC programs. ICE Institute has also partnered with XuetangX and is currently exploring partnerships with Thai MOOCs and the Open University of the Philippines.

In the future, the ICE Institute will collaborate with other MOOC organizers, both in Indonesia and abroad, to offer various educational services and programs for the purposes of credit transfer in formal education, as well as capacity building, reskilling, and upskilling in non-formal education.
